At a symposium held to discuss the achievements and challenges of the 15th anniversary of Busan's designation as a financial hub, Chairman of the Korea Developmnet Bank, delivered a congratulatory remarks. He stated that in January 2023, to expand the base for regional economic growth, the bank had increased its business organizations in Busan, including the Southeast Investment Finance Center, and had established systematic support programs such as "special loan products for supporting traditional local industries" to revitalize the local economy. Additionally, he emphasized that the bank is leading in providing specialized financial support for maritime logistics by operating the KDB Smart Ocean Infrastructure Fund, which supports the enhancement of maritime infrastructure, and utilizing Industrial Bank's top-notch capabilities in ship financing and foreign exchange derivative products. The bank has also launched the regional specialized venture platform "V:Launch" and created the "Busan Future Growth Venture Fund" to invest in innovative companies in Busan, injecting vitality into the local ecosystem. Efforts are also being made to nurture innovative companies through initiatives like "Busan Innovation Startup Town" and "KDB NextONE Busan." He stated that Korea Developmnet Bank will lead the effort to make Busan a global financial hub representing Asia by leveraging its global network, competitive foreign currency funding, overseas IB/PF capabilities, and extensive global business experience.
