On March 12, 2026, Busan Finance Center (BFC) hosted an Investor Relations (IR) session for a delegation of approximately 25 international business students and faculty members from the University of South Carolina (USC).

The session was held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the BIFC 63F Lounge. During the session, BFC introduced the current development status of the Busan Financial Hub, including Busan’s shipbuilding and shipping industry infrastructure, the maritime finance ecosystem centered around Korea Ocean Business Corporation, and the city’s broader vision as a maritime capital combining industry, culture, and lifestyle.

BFC also introduced its key functions, including policy proposals and financial hub development strategies, as well as its cooperation framework with related institutions. The session further presented BFC’s overseas networks, including the World Alliance of International Financial Centers (WAIFC) and Z/Yen, and promoted the 2026 WAIFC Annual General Meeting to be held in Busan. The program also included a Q&A session and networking with the delegation.
